Jericho Rosales says he's happy for Heart, Chiz

MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Jericho Rosales is happy for his ex-girlfriend actress Heart Evangelista, who's now being romantically linked with Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero.

"Wala na ako doon. Tapos na 'yung chapter ko. It's their time," he said.

"It's not the first time that it happened. It happened with Kristine (Hermosa) before, hindi ba? Support naman ako, game ako doon. I'm happy for them," Rosales told reporters during the press launch of his latest album "Korona" on Tuesday afternoon.

Last month,  Escudero met Rosales, who is said to be the "one true love" of Evangelista, on "KrisTV."

At the time, the senator said he does not feel awkward meeting Rosales.

For his part, Rosales said it was a really fun experience meeting the senator, whom he described as a "cool guy."

"Chiz is a cool guy, wala namang awkwardness, cute lang," Rosales said.

Asked if he is still in touch with Evangelista, Rosales replied: "Hindi kami nagko-communicate. I don't think there's a need to comunicate. She's okay. Of course, I wish her well."

Aside from "Korona,"  Rosales is also set to go to South Korea to attend the 17th Busan International Film Festival, where his film "Alagwa" will be shown.

Jericho not keen on working with Heart, Kristine

MANILA, Philippines -- Now that he is in a relationship, Jericho Rosales prefers not to reprise his team-up with his former on- and off-screen partners.

"The problem is 'yung buzz about the personal life will be noisier than the project," Rosales told entertainment website PEP, when asked about the possibility of co-starring in a project with his former girlfriends.

Having started in show business in 1997, most of Rosales' romantic relationships bloomed from having shared projects with women.

Among those said to have been in a relationship with the Kapamilya actor over the years are actress Angelika dela Cruz, model Cindy Kurleto, and TV host Cesca Litton.

Notably, he was also in long-term relationships, at different times, with actresses Kristine Hermosa and Heart Evangelista.

Evangelista is now rumored to be in a relationship with Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero, while Hermosa is now married to actor Oyo Boy Sotto.

According to Rosales, "there have been offers to do films with my [ex-girlfriends]," but the 'Dahil sa Pag-Ibig' star pointed to his respect for his current flame, TV host Kim Jones, in deciding to pass up on such projects.

"To be honest, even though you are respected by your partner, ibigay mo na lang sa kanya ‘yon. Bonus na ‘yon. I mean, the best thing na puwede kong ibigay sa partner ko is security," said Rosales, referring to Jones.

In late August, five months since they first made their public appearance as a couple, Jones said her relationship with Rosales continues to thrive with "honesty, communication and trust."

The dramatic actor also expressed happiness, only a few weeks later, over having met Jones family in Australia, where she was raised.

Asked if he had plans to settle down with Jones, Rosales said: “Not yet, pero we're happy. Yeah, kuntento naman kami. We're very blessed to have each other. Once in a while we talk about it."
