MANILA, Philippines – Parts of the country will experience rains caused by two weather systems, the state weather bureau said on Monday.
Two low pressure areas were seen in the country, one located 380 kilometers of Southern Luzon and the other was at 930 kilometers east of Nortern Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Leny Ruiz, weather forecaster, said the LPA in east of Northern Mindanao has a bigger chance to strengthen into a cyclone, although they were still monitoring it.
Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will mostly have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa added.
Meanwhile, the rest of the county, including Metro Manila, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to west with slight to moderate seas.
