Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Isabel Oli on how she feels about her father’s death: “Parang bitter in a sense na wala na siya. But sweet kasi I know na nasa heaven siya.” (Ah, bittersweet!)

Yna Asistio on doing a production number in “Party Pilipinas” with boyfriend Mark Herras, and rumored third party Kris Bernal: “Medyo, siyempre, kinabahan ako kasi parang ang weird lang after gawan ng issue and all … pero sabay kaming nag-rehearse ni Kris.” (Parang choreographed—yung number.)

Vic Sotto on his alleged plans to enter politics: “Kung meron mang plano pagdating sa pulitika, sa akin manggagaling ang announcement.” (It used to be a flat “no”—nag-iiba na ba ang ihip ng hangin?)

Phillip Salvador, asked if he’d leave show biz, should he become vice governor of Bulacan: “Hindi ko siguro maiiwanan kasi ’yan ang kinamulatan ng aking mga mata  …  ito ang bumuhay sa ’min, kahit kailan ’di namin matatalikuran.” (Kahit during the campaign period?)

Ruffa Gutierrez, fuming after she was asked by Mr. Fu on who among Aga Muhlach, Robin Padilla and Zoren Legaspi (former boyfriends) is the best-endowed: “You’re so gross. I’m not answering that!” (Yikes, that’s so gross!)

Eric Quizon, asked how he stays strong in the face of his father’s critical condition: “Marami kaming nagtutulungan at nagsusuportahan … kung merong nagiging emosyonal, maraming nagko-console. Hindi lang sampung kamay ang nasa likod ko.” (Well said.)
