Amid tight security, the remains of the late Comedy King Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon left the Heritage Park in Taguig City for Quezon City after noon Wednesday.
The black vehicle bearing Dolphy's remains was followed by vehicles of relatives and left the park's compound past 1 p.m., radio dzBB's Nimfa Ravelo reported.
Escorting them were motorcycle units of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and Taguig City police.
But it was not immediately clear if the convoy would pass by Dolphy's house in ParaƱaque City or head directly for Dolphy Theater in Quezon City.
Dolphy's remains were to be brought to the Dolphy Theater then back to Heritage Park before dawn Thursday.
A public viewing of the remains is due to start Thursday morning.
The veteran actor-comedian died Tuesday night at the Makati Medical Center at age 83. His burial has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday.
