MANILA, Philippines -- Singer Charice on Thursday posted messages of
love to her family, including her dad who passed away last year.
"I love you Mommy! Carl! I love you both! Daddy, I love you kung nasan ka man," Charice said on her official Twitter account.
Charice's father Ricky Pempengco, who is separated from her mom, was
stabbed in A. Bonifacio Road, Barangay Laram, San Pedro, Laguna on
October 31 last year.
A police report said Pempengco was in a drinking session and then
left to buy a cigarette. That was when Angel Capili Jr. approached him
and stabbed him with an ice pick.
The 12-inch ice pick pierced through Pempengco's body and killed him. The suspect quickly left the scene.
Capili surrendered to police a few days later on November 3.
