MANILA, Philippines - Actress Maja Salvador admitted that she ended her relationship with Matteo Guidicelli because she felt like she was competing for the actor's time. But the so-called third party in the breakup is not a person, but an activity.

Salvador said that on top of their showbiz projects, she and Guidicelli are having difficulty finding time for each other because of the latter's love for fitness and sports.

A triathlete and a former racer, Guidicelli now has an afternoon soap titled "Paraiso" with Jessy Mendiola. Salvador, on the other hand, stars with Kim Chiu, Xian Lim and Enchong Dee on the primetime series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."

She also has an upcoming movie with several other Kapamilya stars titled "24/7 In Love," which will hit theaters next week.

Natuto po akong mag-swimming so siyempre bilang responsibility to rin bilang girlfriend, masasabayan mo," she told ABS-CBNnews.com during a bloggers' conference for "24/7 In Love."

Salvador stressed that while she respects Guidicelli's love for sports and fitness, she said it is hard to have a triathlete as a boyfriend.

Salvador said she has moved on from the breakup, although there are still times when she asks herself about what happened between her and Guidicelli.

"Parang minsan okay ako tapos parang minsan may kulang. Anong nangyari? What happened? 'Yung babalikan mo, pero siyempre kailangan mong tanggapin 'yon, kailangan mong mag-move on. Life goes on," she said.

In a recent interview, Guidicelli admitted that he did not spend enough time with Salvador, which led to the breakup.

"I guess, I can admit -- tao naman ako -- I had a lot of things that I was lacking for her. She's a wonderful person. Marami akong mga bagay na I was lacking. I guess one of those was time. I admit, okay, time because marami rin akong gustong gawin," he said on "Kris TV."
