MANILA, Philippines -- For Angel Locsin, Phil Younghusband possessed
all the characteristics she had intended on avoiding in a potential
boyfriend.
But tides turned. The Kapamilya actress is in a relationship with the Philippine football team player for over six months now.
"Dati gusto ko hindi athlete, hindi playboy, hindi English-English,
hindi mas bata sa 'kin," Locsin told "Showbiz Inside Report" in an
interview aired Saturday. She enumerated her preferences for a boyfriend
before the Azkals player came along.
It was in February 2011 when Younghusband, 25, first invited Locsin,
27, to dinner for Valentine's Day via micro-blogging site Twitter.
In a "tweet" in reply to Younghusband, Locsin asked to re-schedule the date, citing her busy schedule.
The two would eventually find a common free time to meet.
Over a year later, in June 2012, Younghusband confirmed that he and Locsin are officially a couple.
"Hindi ko talaga akalain," the "One More Try" star said. "Kaya siguro, sa mga babaeng gumagawa ng checklist, tapon niyo na yan, walang kwenta 'yan."
Younghusband has been vocal of his feelings for the Kapamilya actress.
In earlier interviews, he referred to her as his "true love," and expressed his intention of "having a future with Angel."
