End of the line if Pacquiao loses to Rios

Michael Koncz shares the same sentiment with boxing coach Freddie Roach regarding Manny Pacquiao’s future.

Koncz, Pacquiao’s business adviser, said that if the fighting congressman fails to convincingly defeat a young lion like Brandon Rios, then it is time to call it quits.

"If we are not able to win this fight with Rios impressively than yes, it will be time to sit with Manny to discuss hanging up the gloves," he said in World Boxing News.

Pacquiao has already suffered two straight losses and a third straight defeat will be too much for the Filipino pride.

In June 2012, Pacquiao lost his WBO welterweight title to Timothy Bradley via a highly controversial decision. Six months later, he got knocked out in six rounds after going toe-to-toe with his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez.

In Pacquiao’s November comeback, he will face a young and dangerous brawler in Rios.
"Rios is a young hungry fighter and his style of coming straight forward and throwing a lot of punches will give the fans a very entertaining fight," Koncz said.

Roach earlier said the Pacquiao-Rios bout will serve as a test for both fighters.

A win by the Filipino superstar will prove that he remains to be a potent fighter. A loss, however, could mean the end of the line for Pacquiao.

“The winner will go on to bigger and better things, and the loser will be maybe finished,” he siad.
Roach also admitted that the 34-year-old Filipino is already at the twilight of his colorful boxing career.

“Win or lose, Manny has only a couple of fights left in him,” he said.
