Are Vice Ganda's jokes bully or not?

It’s about time that somebody put Vice Ganda in place for cracking cruel jokes against celebrities. Now described as  “vicious,” this Vice has been relentlessly maligning people and that he has ceased to be amusing; he has gone overboard, he’s “too much already,” as a lady journalist put it.

On his recent Big Dome show, as he continues to do so on his ABS-CBN show It’s Showtime, he continued making fun (sorry, but it’s not funny anymore!) of newly-elected Sen. Nancy Binay. When this Vice repeated his unkind joke about Nancy’s complexion, the cameraman (how dare he!) focused on a black guy in the audience and it drew laughter from the audience. If that wasn’t a racist joke, I don’t know what was.

Jokes are supposed to entertain and not — never! — to hurt or offend anybody, not even celebrities.
This Vice didn’t even spare Jessica Soho whom he portrayed in a very bad light in an imaginary scenario if Jessica were a bold star. This Vice said that Jessica’s launching movie should be titled Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Sobra and every time Jessica would weigh herself, the machine would complain, “One at a time, one at a time!”

And, added this Vice, if Jessica would do a rape scene, it should be gang rape, with the rapists ordering, “Ipasok ang lechon!,” with Jessica saying, “Nasaan ang apple?”
The height of cruelty and vulgarity, isn’t it?

Arnold Clavio was quoted as saying that he has had enough.

Vice Ganda Bully Jessica Soho
“Papatulan ko na siya kasi pag hindi siya sinita, hindi natin alam kung sinong isusunod niyang bibiktimahin,” fumed Arnold. “Noon si Nancy Binay, ngayon si Jessica Soho. Sino ang susunod?”
Somebody from this Vice’s own backyard, the Kapamilya Network, should do something about it.

(Why are the Kapamilya guys tolerating this Vice? Is it because he’s making money for the company…at the expense of other people?)

Some people are enraged by this bully who hides behind a cloak of comedy.
Of course, Jessica is hurting…very badly!

Here’s her reaction to the bullying:

Rape is not a joke and should never be material for a comedy concert. I thank all those who shared my hurt and expressed their support but this should not be about me but about rape victims who suffer tremendously from this terrible crime.

The horrors they go through are unspeakable and should never be taken lightly, especially by way of a cruel joke.

I heard that the Gabriela is mobilizing its members in support of Jessica and rape victims. What about another group that is allegedly (still silently) working for the “banning/boycotting” of “anything Vice?”

Hmmmm, serves him right!
