Manila , Philippines : In spite of stormy weather, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport early Monday as part of a promotional tour for electronics company Lenovo.

Lenovo Mobile PH shared a picture of Bryant on their Instagram account with the caption, "Are you ready for Kobe Bryant, Manila? The Black Mamba has landed!" along with the hashtag "walangiwanan."

Bryant is the latest in a series of NBA stars visiting the country this year, following on the heels of reigning NBA champion LeBron James of the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelican Eric Gordon, and Houston Rocket James Harden.

Also set for a Philippine trip is Chicago Bull Derrick Rose, while in October, Manila will be host to a preseason game between the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers.

The 34-year-old Bryant is a five-time NBA champion, whose last visit to the Philippines was in 2011, during the last NBA lockout.

Bryant suffered an achilles tear last April, preventing him from playing in the postseason, but reports have him ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation efforts.
