Gabby and Sharon project will happen soon

MANILA, Philippines – There is no reason for avid fans of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion to lose hope that they will be together onscreen again as the actor revealed that something is brewing for their reunion project.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Concepcion said he and his ex-wife are just waiting for the right time to do the project.

“Gagawin namin iyon, panahon lang ang hinihintay natin. Kapag ang panahon ay nasa tamang oras na. Weather weather lang yan. Darating tayo diyan,” he said.

While he did not disclose what their reunion project will be about, Concepcion said he is thrilled that their loyal fans would get to see them together again.

“Maraming naghihintay, marami akong nakukuhang texts at e-mails, mga requests. Darating tayo diyan. Mayroon lang tayong hinihintay na mangyari. Ang script binubuo pa,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Kapamilya actor said he is looking forward to doing more shows this year now that his ABS-CBN series “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” is about to end.

“Yes, may mga projects tayong darating, 2013 is going to be a good year. I like the challenges that I will face this year. January pa lang and I’m really, really happy. I thank the Lord and everybody who supports me,” he said.

“Kapag alam na alam ko na at sigurado na [ikukuwento ko sa inyo]. Kasi kung minsan nagkakaroon ng changes. Ia-announce na lang natin,” he added.

Nevertheless, Concepcion invited all his fans to continue watching his series which airs on ABS-CBN every weeknight.

Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta renew friendship

MANILA, Philippines – After being involved in a controversy recently, television host and actress Kris Aquino has renewed her friendship with veteran actress Sharon Cuneta.

In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Aquino said Cuneta even sent her a carrot cake, which she described as “super delicious.”

Aquino, however, refused to further discuss what happened, saying it is all in the past.
“Honestly, wala naman akong ginawa, ‘di ba? So there’s nothing to comment about,” she said.

Last month, Cuneta reacted negatively to a "fake interview" in a blog where “Krissy” was used as a character.

In the humorous post, "Krissy" was asked to comment on Cuneta, to which "Krissy" replied: "I don't follow her... Ayokong ma-stress aha-ha-ha But I follow KC."

However, Cuneta apparently thought it was a real interview with Aquino.

On her official Twitter account, Cuneta said: "'Yaan na natin. Di ko rin naman sya fina-follow ever. Sasakit ang ulo ko."

Aquino then pointed out, also on Twitter, that "Krissy" was a parody.

"I don't understand y u want to create animosity? It was the parody "krissy" who commented about (Sharon Cuneta)," Aquino tweeted.

The two stars have made peace since then and are now following each other on the microblogging site Twitter.

Sharon Cuneta sees nothing wrong with cybercrime law

MANILA, Philippines -- Actress-singer Sharon Cuneta, who has been a target of online criticisms, sees nothing wrong with the controversial Republic Act (RA) No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

In her official Twitter account, Cuneta explained that while she supports freedom of speech, she does not favor anonymous criticism.

"Madaming nasasaktan kasi nagtatago sa ibang identity ang iba at tumatapang. Wala nang privacy ang mga tao. Pag may free speech, dapat may responsibility. Eh ang iba parang 'di na tayo human beings, wala nang delicadeza. Dapat lang ma-punish ang mga naninirang puri. Pag sinira mo ang pangalan ng isang taong wala naman masamang ginagawa, para mo na siyang pinatay," Cuneta said when asked by one of her followers about her stand on the new law.

She added: "I'm all for the punishment of cybercrime. Some people have just gone too far."

"Cybercrime law? If you're a decent person to begin with, WHAT'S THERE TO FEAR? Ano 'yon, ang pumiyok, guilty? @ciara_anna," she told.

It was Cuneta's uncle Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III who proposed the online libel provision into the Cybercrime law.
