MANILA, Philippines – Actor Rustom Padilla, more popularly known as BB Gandanghari, said he is very proud of his nephew Daniel Padilla, who is making a name for himself in the showbiz industry.

In an interview with entertainment website Push.com.ph, Gandanghari said he is glad that Padilla enjoys his parents’ full support in showbiz.

“I’m very proud of this boy kasi parang siya ‘yung sumusunod sa yapak namin, ‘di ba? At least alam mo may sumusunod at maganda naman ‘yung suporta ng mommy’t daddy niya,” he said.

Gandanghari describes his nephew as a respectful boy.

“We see each other every time na may mga get-together si Rommel and he’s (Daniel) very respectful, ‘yun ‘yung gusto ko sa batang ‘yan, eh. He just takes me as I am,” he said.

Gandanghari said he also appreciates Padilla for respecting his decision to stay as “BB Gandanghari.”
Last Sunday, Padilla said he is in no position to reject Gandanghari, adding that he respects his choice in life for as long as it makes him happy.

Meanwhile, Gandanghari shared that he is glad to know that his mother Eva Cariño is now becoming more accepting of him.

Aside from his mom, Gandanghari said his brother Rommel and his nephews will also be watching the show.

“Rommel is actually watching. ‘Di ba, very interesting?” Gandanghari said.
Gandanghari said seeing this kind of support from some of his family members actually makes him feel loved.

“Masaya. That makes me [keep] going, kasi napakahirap kung hindi. ‘yung simpleng gano’ng support, it really means a lot, especially sa ganitong klaseng proyektong [na] ang hirap [gawin],” he said.
