Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu are seen in a tearful reconciliation as their characters in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" in a preview of an upcoming episode of the hit drama series.

In the Primetime Bida offering, Margaux (Salvador) and Celyn (Chiu) are caught in a bitter feud, initially over Celyn falling for her best friend's partner Ethan (Enchong Dee).

Later, however, their tiff escalates with the revelation that Celyn is the biological daughter of Margaux's apparent foster parents Beatrice and Julio (Janice de Belen and Ariel Rivera).

The rivalry of the two lead characters intensifies with the revelation that they are in fact biological twins -- the children of Julio and Beatrice, given birth to by the latter's half-sister Theresa (Cherry Pie Picache), who had volunteered to be a surrogate mother.

In the latest episodes of the series, Margaux's hatred towards Celyn grows when her friend and confidant Liam (Xian Lim) falls in love with her twin.

The warring sides, however, are set to finally reconcile, as seen a preview released Wednesday (seen above) for an upcoming episode of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."

A tearful Margaux tells Celyn: "Hindi ko alam kung paano ako hihingi ng tawad for hurting you. I'm sorry, Celyn. I am so sorry."

Leading up to the teased reconciliation, the creators of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" admitted that putting together confrontational scenes between Margaux and Celyn has become increasingly difficult, in light of the reported real-life tension between the two actresses.

The soap first aired in October last year, and was already billed at the time as featuring the "rivalry" of the two principal characters.

It was in early January when Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Thelma" actress and actor Gerald Anderson.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.
The former "My Binondo Girl" star said early this month that she has forgiven both Salvador and Anderson, who are now more open about their relationship, but added that it is "difficult to forget."
