MANILA -- TV host Willie Revillame is hoping that the opening of his real estate project Wil Tower can act as a bridge for him to reconnect with his former network.

The mixed-use Wil Tower, which includes a residential tower and a mall, is located beside the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, Revillame's home for many years before moving to the No. 3 network TV5.

On Sunday night, ABS-CBN personalities including Noli de Castro and Korina Sanchez attended the opening of the mall, which Revillame acknowledged in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer came from his earnings when he was still with the Kapamilya network.

Revillame once again thanked ABS-CBN as he revealed plans of building a "hanging bridge" which will connect ABS-CBN to the mall.

Also spotted in Sunday's event were Revillame's friends in showbiz, including Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Richard Gomez, Edgar Mortiz, Ruffa Gutierez and producer Lily Monteverde.

In the Inquirer interview, Revillame admitted that the viewership of his noontime program on TV5 "fell below expectations."

"Wowowillie," which has undergone numerous revamps since its 2010 debut as "Willing Willie," is set to air its last episode on October 12.
Revillame has said he will take a break after the show ends.
