MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli played down the significance of the viral photos and videos showing him holding hands with Sarah Geronimo while performing a duet of John Legend's
"All of Me"during his birthday celebration last Friday.
While there has been no confirmation from the two as of yet, the rumored couple seems to have finally gone public with their relationship, with their captured sweet moments during the “Galema” actor’s party as proof.
But in an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Marie Lozano on Saturday, Guidicelli said the photos and videos only mean that he and Geronimo were having fun at his party.
“Basta nag-enjoy lang kami nung gabing 'yun dahil buong pamilya ko nandun, 'yung special friends ko and lahat lahat. I just wanted for her to have a good time, and I was having a good time so 'yun lang. That's it,” he said.
Guidicelli, meanwhile, shared how glad he is that his parents like the singer-actress.
“My parents don't really watch her on TV but when they saw her, they said she's very very beautiful and they didn't expect her to be like that. I'm happy they all like her and they feel like she's very very beautiful,” he said.
Asked to define his relationship with the Pop Princess, Guidicelli said, “I really don't want to lie. I don't want to say anything that's why I'm not denying anything. One day, I'll just wait for something to say. I don't think it has to come from me. Hindi ko alam, hindi ko po alam eh.”
Nonetheless, Guidicelli said it is important that he gets the approval of Geronimo’s family.
“Siyempre it's very important eh, families first all the time,” he said.
When Geronimo left Guidicelli’s party, the actor reportedly ushered the singer-actress andgave her a kiss.
Asked if there was anything special about the kiss, Gudicelli said: “Everything is special about that.”
