MANILA – Sarah Geronimo admitted that she is jealous of her friend, singer Yeng Constantino, who recently became engaged to her first boyfriend.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News over the weekend, Geronimo said Constantino’s love story is truly inspiring.

“Naiinggit ako kasi nakakainggit 'yung love story nila. First boyfriend niya si Yan (Asuncion), first girlfriend niya si Yeng tapos parehas sila ng paniniwala sa Diyos. So napaka-inspiring ng love story nila. Naiinggit talaga ako,” she said.

While several celebrity couples have been tying the knot recently, Geronimo said she does not want to rush into marriage.
“Napakabilis ng panahon. Hindi ko naisip na marrying age na pala ako, 25. Pero siyempre kailangan pag-isipan talaga ng mabuti dahil lifetime commitment 'yan. Ipinagdadasal naman yan,” she said.

Asked if she also plans to have kids, the prized singer-actress said, “Siyempre naman darating at darating tayo sa pagkakataon na magkakapamilya at hopefully mabibiyayaan ng sariling anak. When? Siguro sana in my early 30s or before mag-30. Tignan natin. I’d like to have my own family.”

Geronimo has been romantically linked to Matteo Guidicelli since early last year, although the two Kapamilya stars have kept mum on their allegedly blossoming romance.

‘The Voice Kids,’ movie
Meanwhile, Geronimo said she currently has her hands full because of two new projects which she’s working on.

The singer was referring to the kids’ edition of the talent show “The Voice of the Philippines” and her upcoming movie with Coco Martin.

“Stressful pero fun ['yung ‘The Voice Kids.’] Talagang amazing experience kasi ilang kids 'yung napakinggan kong kumanta from eight years old to 14 years old. Stressful lalo na kapag naiiyak sila. Kailangan ng magandang way ng pagsabi sa kanila na ‘Maybe this is not your time yet. Konting hinog pa. Practice pa,’” she said.
Just like in the show’s first season, Geronimo said she still needs to use her charms as an edge to her fellow coaches Bamboo and Lea Salonga.

“That’s what the show is all about. Competition din ng mga coaches ito. Bawat team, talagang ire-represent mo. Part of the show talaga 'yung healthy competition,” she explained.

“Ako, dinadaan ko sa charm na kung ano man 'yung personality ko. Ginagamit ko minsan si Laida na pangkulit sa mga bata kasi kailangan talaga to entertain them and to persuade them para makuha mo sila sa team mo,” she said.
As to her project with Martin, Geronimo said they do not know yet when it will be released.

“Okay naman po. Hindi naman kasama ngayon si Ms. Ruffa (Gutierrez) kasi meron siyang ginagawa munang ibang show. Si Coco is busy doing his TV series din so medyo agawan sa schedule kaya hindi pa namin muna masabi kung kelan ito ma-show,” she said.

Since it is also a comedy-drama, the singer-actress said she is trying not to associate her new role with Laida Magtalas, her character in the series of romantic-comedy films with John Lloyd Cruz.

“Ang konsepto ng movie namin hindi drama eh. May pagka-romcom. Pero madagdagan din ng drama kasi 25 na rin ako. Actually iniingatan ko na kahit may comedy siya, dapat malayo talaga kay Laida,” She said.
This upcoming movie marks the second project of Geronimo and Martin together.
