Arum thinking two Mayweather fights for Pacquiao next year

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is already looking past Manny Pacquiao's scheduled November 10 fight and into the future, and what Arum sees in his crystal ball is not one, but two fights between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

Boxingscene.com/The Manila Standard cites an interview with Arum, Pacquiao's promoter in which he says, "Pacquiao will have another fight this year [November 10] and then look forward to maybe two fights with Mayweather next year."

Arum is banking on 2013 because of Mayweather's conditioning, which is currently affected by his stint in prison. "I don't think anybody on Mayweather's side could commit him now for a fight because you don't understand how debilitating it is living in prison, eating that kind of food."

Mayweather, who is in jail for hitting a former girlfried, was recently denied an appeal to have his jail sentence turned into a house arrest.

Still, nothing is set in stone until the Filipino ring icon can sit down with Arum for dinner, which is scheduled for Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, PHL time) to hash out his options.

First and foremost on the list of things to be discussed is Pacquiao's next opponent, which could be either Timothy Bradley, per a rematch clause in Pacquiao's contract, or a fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. Arum himself says he isn't leaning towards either of the two, adding, "I just don't know, I don't want to jump the gun on him."

Mayweather-Pacquiao is one of the most anticipated fights in boxing, but the two camps have been unable to agree on the financial terms of the fight. Floyd "Money" Mayweather famously offered Pacquiao a flat fee to fight him, which the Sarangani congressman turned down.

Since then, Team Pacman has offered various splits of the revenue, all of which have been turned down.
