PBA commissioner Chito Salud has fined B-MEG Llamados head coach Tim Cone a total of P23,400 for his chair-throwing incident during Sunday's Governors' Cup Finals game one against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

In a release on the league's official Twitter account, @pbaconnect, the commissioner said that the league has fined Cone P3,400 for accumulating his fourth technical foul, and an additional P20,000 for "serious disrespect for the game that could be misinterpreted as inciting further chaos and outbursts from the fans."

Cone had been frustrated by a perceived lack of calls, and his anger boiled over in the fourth quarter when a foul wasn't called on a drive by Llamados star James Yap. The multi-titled coach then threw a plastic monobloc chair on to his team's end of the court while play had gone over to Rain or Shine's side.

Rain or Shine went on to win 91-80, with Cone being ejected quickly after the chair throw.

The Llamados were also held back by fouls on their import Marqus Blakely, who was whistled for the fifth time with 3:45 remaining in the third quarter.

In related news, the Smart Araneta Coliseum, venue for the game, charged the PBA P15,000 for scratches the chair made on the floor.

According to the tweet of @pbaconnect, "the flooring bears scratch marks/damage of more or less 4ft near the center court where the white monobloc [chair] was thrown."
