MANILA, Philippines—Robert Blair Carabuena was reportedly rushed to
the hospital after he felt ill during a preliminary hearing at the
Quezon City Prosecutors office on the case filed by the Metropolitan
Manila Development Authority for his untoward behavior towards a traffic
enforcer, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said.
Tolentino said Carabuena was escorted to the prosecutors’ office for a
hearing after he surrendered himself to the chairman around 8 a.m. to
make a public apology to him, to MMDA aid Saturnino Fabros, and to the
public.
Tolentino said he accepted the apology made for him, but cleared that
only Fabros and the law can answer if his apology will be likewise
recognized.
“Malamig daw at pinagpapawisan kaya dinala na sa hospital (He turned cold and sweating that’s why he was brought to a hospital),” he said, but added that he has yet to confirm what hospital Carabuena was taken to.
Nonetheless, the case filed against Carabuena shall continue, Tolentino said.
