MANILA, Philippines -- Amid preparations for the upcoming 2013 mid-term elections, vice-gubernatorial aspirant actor Jolo Revilla is set to appear in a film entry to the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival.

According to Revilla's father, Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., the former Kapamilya actor will join him in the upcoming fantasy-comedy film "Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako."

Revilla told ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of the filming for the comedy flick on Thursday.

Following in his father's footsteps, the younger Revilla, after taking on acting as a career, is running in the coming elections as vice governor in his native Cavite.

Before formalizing his political plans early this month, the "My Binondo Girl" actor co-starred in a number of films with his father, including "Resiklo." Released in 2007, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi film was also an entry to the MMFF.

Aside from co-starring anew with his son, the senior Revilla is thrilled for his team-up with two other big-name stars in "Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako."

For the second time, the senator will topbill a film with Vic Sotto . They will be joined by young superstar Judy Ann Santos, who plays a fairy in the film.

"Excited ako dahil unang pagkakataon namin magsasamang tatlo.
