MANILA, Philippines – For his new role as a straight-acting gay man, comedian-actor Vice Ganda channeled Korean superstar Lee Min Ho.

Take One, referring to his role in the upcoming comedy flick "This Guy's In Love With U, Mare."

Best known for his role as Gu Jun-pyo in the hit Korean series "Boys Over Flowers," Lee Min Ho has earned popularity in the Philippines with subsequent TV appearances on local television, most recently in the ABS-CBN-aired action series "City Hunter."

In the Wenn Deramas-directed film, Vice Ganda plays Lester, a gay man who feigns romantic interest in Gemma (Toni Gonzaga), to take revenge on her for "stealing" his boyfriend Mike (Luis Manzano).

Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment, "This Guy" is the follow-up big-screen outing of Deramas to the all-time highest-grossing local film "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," which also starred Vice Ganda.

Also starring Gladys Reyes, Edgar Mortiz, Tessie Tomas, Buboy Garovillo and Carla Martinez, "This Guy's In Love With You Mare" will hit theaters nationwide on October 10.
