MANILA, Philippines – Celebrity sisters Assunta and Alessandra de Rossi are both excited to see the result of their performances in the upcoming independent film “Baybayin.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Alessandra said it is a nice feeling to be reunited with her sister again in a movie project.

Kami parang sa tagal naming artista, twice lang kami nagkasama eh,” she said.

Alessandra said she did not have a hard time portraying her role in the movie because her sister is one great actress.

Iba talaga yung attachment naming dalawa sa characters namin kasi magkapatid talaga kami,” she said.

Alessandra said it helped that they are also siblings in the movie.

The movie, which is featured in the Cinema One Originals 2012, is a tale of two sisters who will fall in love with a deaf-mute man and the three only communicate through “baybayin.”

Assunta said she and Alessandra are both grateful that they were given the opportunity to headline an independent film.

Meanwhile, Alessandra said she is hoping to do more independent films in the future.

Sa indie, cannot be, no make up. Kasi tunay kang tao,” she said.

Prior to this, Alessandra also starred in the independent film “Busong,” which was also directed by Aureus Solito.
