MANILA, Philippines – “Be careful” – these are not only the first two words in Jodi Sta. Maria’s top-rating daytime soap; these are also the words of advice given to her by the girlfriend of her estranged husband.

Filipino-Japanese actress Iwa Moto made the statement as Sta. Maria now finds herself in the middle of a political battle between her brother-in-law and her rumored boyfriend, Jolo Revilla.
Pampi Lacson’s brother, Ronald Jay, and Revilla are eyeing the vice governor seat in Cavite in next year’s elections.

While Moto said she would rather not make an issue out of it, she could not help but comment on the current situation of the “Be Careful With My Heart” lead star.

‘Di ko alam kung anong dating sa tao noon,” the sexy actress said in an interview at the sidelines of the press conference for the Cinema One Originals 2012 film festival, where she stars in one of the entries.

“So if I were her, I’d be careful,” she added.

Moto, meanwhile, said she is willing to help Pampi’s brother in his campaign. “Si Kuya Jay is very nice and ‘yung family ni Pampi ay close na rin sa puso ko. Kung hangga’t makakatulong ako, why not?”

‘Truth now coming out’

Without giving specifics, Moto said the “truth” is slowly coming out regarding the issue involving her, Sta. Maria and Lacson.

“Sa lahat ng mga sinabi ko before, so far ngayon, unti-unti nang lumalabas lahat eh. Like I said before na kung mapapanood niyo ‘yung interview ko before, may mga sinabi ako doon and kung titignan niyo ‘yung mga lumalabas ngayon about her, lahat ng sinabi ko totoo naman eh,” she said.

Last June, Moto said in a television interview that Sta. Maria had an affair with her former boyfriend, Mike Ablan, two years ago while she was still married to Lacson.

The sexy actress met Lacson to confront him about Sta. Maria’s alleged affair, until they eventually became a couple.

Again, Moto reiterated that she did not cause the separation of Sta. Maria and Lacson. “Definitely not on my side,” she said.

Asked if she is planning to set things straight with Sta. Maria, she said: “Hindi na naman siguro namin kailangang mag-usap kasi tapos na eh. Dalawa lang naman ‘yung mangyayari diyan eh. It’s either ‘wag na lang pag-usapan, o maging okay. So far, ngayon, di na lang pinag-uusapan. Medyo magkalayo rin kasi kami ng mundo.”

‘Pampi has moved on’

Meanwhile, Moto said Lacson, who has been his boyfriend for the past six months, has completely moved on from his split with Sta. Maria.

Asked to share Lacson’s opinion on the rumored relationship between Sta. Maria and Revilla, the sexy actress said: “Natawa lang siya. Parang wala, he’s really done with it.

Responding to rumors that Sta. Maria was a battered wife while living together with Lacson, Moto stressed: “Ni minsan ‘di ko marinig sumigaw si Pampi.

She then gave this message to those who are speaking ill of Lacson: “May mga tao na para pagtakpan ang mga kasalanan nila, minsan gagawa sila ng kwento at ang masaklap doon, pinaniniwalaan nila ‘yung kasinungalingan nila. So nakakaawa na lang sila.”

For those who say that she is talking about Sta. Maria to draw attention to her, Moto said: “Ayokong magpaapekto sa sinasabi ng ibang tao kasi kilala ko sarili ko. And like I said before, hindi ako nandito para manira ng tao. People are asking me, I’m just answering back.

And I’m very, very happy with my life right now.

Kilala ko ang sarili ko and I’m not that kind of person.”

Moto is currently part of the movie “Aberya,” which is an entry to this year’s Cinema One Originals film festival.
