MANILA, Philippines – With just a year left under his contract with GMA-7, actor Dennis Trillo revealed that he is open to transferring to another network and explore more career opportunities.

In an interview with entertainment website Pep.ph, Trillo said he is leaning towards staging a comeback in ABS-CBN than joining the No. 3 network, TV-5.

“Okay lang sa akin... siguro mas pipiliin ko ABS. Siguro, kung sakali,” Trillo said. “Siyempre 'yung iisipin mo 'yung mileage mo bilang artista. Maganda 'yung mga nangyayari sa ABS, ‘di ba? Shows nila, maraming nanonood. So baka iyon, kung sakali.”

Trillo was once part of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic.

The actor, however, stressed that nothing is certain yet since a lot of things may still happen within a year.

“After ng contract na ‘yun, siyempre may mga negotiations, eh. So hindi ko pa alam. Marami pang puwedeng mangyari sa isang taon, so tingnan na lang natin,” he said.

Meanwhile, the actor said he is glad to be friends again with former girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado.

“Okay na naman. Hindi ko na maalala [kung kailan kami huling nagkita] eh. Usually kapag ‘Party Pilipinas’ nagkikita kami,” he said.

Asked if he is open to working with Mercado and actor Luis Manzano, Trillo said: “Hindi ko alam—baka, siguro.”

Manzano is the current boyfriend of Mercado.
