MANILA, Philippines – Young actor Daniel Padilla is sporting a new look for his upcoming movie with love-team partner Kathryn Bernardo.

Padilla is trading in his Justin Bieber-inspired side-swept haircut for a more ‘50s cool look.
“James Dean ‘yung buhok ko ngayon. Gusto nila maiba ‘yung buhok ko. so sige gawin naman nating James Dean,” he said in an interview on “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday.

Now that their hit TV series “Princess and I” ended last Friday, Padilla and Bernardo are rushing to work on their first movie together, “Love Me, Maybe,” which is set to hit theatres on March 13.
After ‘Princess and I,’ gusto naming mag-thank you talaga sa lahat ng sumuporta sa amin hanggang sa huli,” Bernardo said.

“Sana suportahan niyo rin yung movie namin ni DJ (Padilla’s nickname). This March na po ‘yan. Basta kakaiba Ito nag-fo-focus ‘yung story sa aming dalawa lang, tapos super sweet talaga, as in love team, ganyan,” she added.

According to “The Buzz,” unlike in the TV series where Bernardo’s character was the object of affection of two guys, in “Love Me, Maybe” it will be Padilla who will be at the center of a love triangle.

“Two girls tapos siya lang ‘yung guy,” Bernardo hinted.

Meanwhile, Padilla clarified a photo that has been circulating online showing the two of them holding hands, which, fans believe, prove that they are now in a relationship.

But Padilla said he was just helping her get up.

“Hindi nga pwede. ‘Yon na ‘yon,” he said about persistent reports about their relationship. “Hindi pa kami at hindi pwede pang maging kami. Basta abangan na lang natin. Basta ngayon hindi pa.”

However, the two are set to spend Valentine’s Day together – working, that is.

“Mag-wo-work kami sa Valentine’s Day. Ayon nasa Cebu kami. Wala pa ring plans. Tingnan na lang natin kung ano ang mangyayari,” Bernardo said.

Padilla also said they don’t have any plans as of the moment.
“Baka next week meron na akong maisip,” he said.
