Lakambini, the eldest sibling of actress Kim Chiu, remains friendly with actress Maja Salvador despite the reported unresolved tension between the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-stars.

At the sidelines of the G-Force Project dance recital held Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Lakambini talked about the ongoing tiff between her sister and Salvador.

Asked if she regrets that the relationship of the former best friends had been "put to waste," Lakambini said, "I think oo, kasi as a normal person... pero hindi naman maiiwasan."

Noting that the character of Kim and Salvador in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" have reconciled as seen in the series' Tuesday episode, Lakambini was also asked if a similar scene may occur in real life.

"Siguro po, oo naman siyempre. Wala namang ano... there's always time for everything naman eh," she said.

It was in early January when Kim expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Thelma" actress and actor Gerald Anderson.

Kim and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.
Anderson finally admitted to entertainment magazine "StarStudio" in its June 2013 issue that he and Salvador are now officially a couple.

Early this month, Kim said she has forgiven both her erstwhile best friend and former partner, but added that it was "difficult to forget."

Lakambini, who has also become a friend to Salvador, said she has managed to remain civil with the actress.

"'Hi, hello' lang, ganoon din, same as before, ganoon din naman," she said.

Kim, who was also at the concert venue in Quezon City on Tuesday to watch her sister perform, was likewise asked whether she and Salvador can take their cue from their on-screen characters.

The actress, however, was evasive of questions related to Salvador. "Tsaka na 'yan, bahala na sila," she said, laughing.
