Lovi proud of Grace Poe's front-runner status

MANILA – Actress Lovi Poe took to the micro-blogging site Twitter celebrate the strong showing of her half-sister, Grace Poe, who is leading the senatorial race based on the data from the Commission on Elections transparency server.

As of May 14, 4:08 p.m, Grace Poe has already garnered 14,639,555 votes and emerged as the apparent topnotcher in the Senate race, debunking pre-election survey results.

In her official Twitter account on Monday night, Lovi posted: “yeah!!! go ate grace poe!!! wooohoo!:)”

Lovi said she was monitoring the election coverage via the ABS-CBN News Channel on Monday, where her sister’s early victory was attributed to her “very disciplined” campaign which focused on her relationship with her late father, Fernando Poe Jr (FPJ).

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday night, Grace said she is dedicating her impending victory to the memory of her late father. She also said the results of the midterm elections surprised her.

Llamanzares is the adopted daughter of the late action star with veteran actress Susan Roces, while Lovi, whose real name is Lourdes Virginia, is the actor's daughter with former actress Rowena Moran.
