MANILA, Philippines - Whistleblower Benhur Luy attended the third hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on the alleged pork barrel scam on Thursday.
Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, who was also present at the hearing, asked to briefly suspend the proceeding before presenting Luy.
De Lima said they received "raw information" about a possible security threat against Luy.
The whistleblower said he is the second cousin of Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam.
He filed serious illegal detention charges against Napoles, who is now detained at Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna.
As of posting time, Luy is narrating their activities in the alleged pork barrel scam.
