MANILA, Philippines – “May party pa raw kaya sila [Will they still hold a party]?”
As All Saints' Day approaches, a female tomb keeper at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City remains hopeful that the family of Janet Napoles will still occasionally hold parties inside the mausoleum housing the tomb of the businesswoman's mother, Magdalena Lim.

Many workers at Heritage had annually been looking forward to the "grand" parties held at the granite mauseleoum during the Feast of Saints, a tomb keeper who refused to be identified told InterAksyon.com on Tuesday.
She said it was during these parties that the "generous" Napoles gave away prizes and served sumptuous food.

"Kasi kada November 1, may party, may raffle pa. May mga nanalo ng cellphone. Mabait si Ma’am Janet, okay siyang makisama," the tomb keeper said.

[There's a party every November 1, and a raflle, too. There were those who won cellphones. Ma’am Janet is kind, she easily gets along with people.]

It was inside her mother's mausoleum where Napoles reportedly waited before she was fetched by a group led by presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda and surrendered to President Benigno Aquino III on the night of August 28, according to news reports.
The gray mausoleum is now closed and fully covered with white drapes.

"Hindi na namin nililinis simula nang makulong siya [We have not been cleaning it since she was detained]," the tomb keeper said.
