What's a little rain – or a monsoon deluge – in the face of true love? On Sunday, engaged couple Lloyd Vincent and Ivy Andrada braved the weather to have their pre-nuptial photos taken outdoors.
“Gusto lang namin ng under the rain talaga [kasi] unique siya. Wala pa masyadong nakakagawa,” Andrada said in a report on GMA News' “Saksi.”There was only a smattering of light rain when the photo shoot started – but the photo that eventually went viral showed the couple under a heavy downpour.
Timing lang,” said photographer Nikko Quiogue. “Tapos na kami magshoot nung patawid na kami [at] parang nakita ko ang ganda ng tama ng ilaw sa ulan.”
Just hours after the photo was uploaded on Facebook and Twitter, it went viral.
There must be something about the monsoon rains that bring out the romance in couples. Last year's habagat floods resulted in this now-iconic photo of newlyweds kissing knee-deep in floodwater.
