MANILA – Socialite-actress Gretchen Barretto had another heated exchange with a netizen, this time an Instagram user, who bashed her and younger sister Marjorie in the image-sharing site.
On Monday, Gretchen posted a picture of her with long-time partner, businessman Tony Boy Cojuangco, which was captioned: “My tony, aww he loves me.”
An Instagram user using the handle “marjoriekabit” then posted several comments about the picture, which prompted Gretchen to reply.

Barretto and the Instagram user were talking about Claudia, the youngest daughter of Marjorie, who is now studying at the British School Manila. It is also the same school which Gretchen’s daughter, Dominique, attended.
Coming to the defense of Marjorie, Gretchen said her sister has businesses where she gets money to send her children to school.
Furthermore, “marjoriekabit” alleged that Gretchen has been using the money of the Cojuangcos to support Marjorie, adding that even Dominique feels like “you already gave too much for Marj's family. She even called Marj's family dependent and parasite.”
Putting an end to their conversation, Gretchen said “marjoriekabit” should not put words into her daughter’s mouth and that she does not need the money of the Cojuangcos because she has her own career.
Gretchen then finally said: “It is pointless to argue with a mentally ill & drug addict. You go get help, maybe after then ill have the time for you.”
While Gretchen said that she knows who “marjoriekabit” really is, the socialite-actress did not expressly identify the name of the person who she believes is behind the Instagram handle.
Several of Gretchen’s followers, however, suspect that the one behind the anonymous account is Claudine, since the socialite-actress’ comments pertain to facts associated with her youngest sister.
