MANILA, Philippines – Classes were suspended in some schools in Metro Manila and provinces in Luzon on Monday by their respective local government units due to rains spawned by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm “Maring” (international name Trami).
Classes are suspended in the following schools:
METRO MANILA
Manila: elementary and high school levels (public and private)
Caloocan: all levels (public and private)
Makati: all levels (public and private)
Mandaluyong City: Elementary to high school (public and private)
Pateros: All levels (public and private)
Pasay: Elementary and high school levels (public and private)
Parañaque: All levels (public and private)
Marikina: All levels (public and private)
San Juan City: All levels (public and private)
Muntinlupa: Pre-school to high school levels
Valenzuela: preschool; Wawang Pulo Elementary and high school; Pasolo Elementary School and Caruhatan National High School
Taguig: All Day Care,Elementary and High School classes ( public and private schools)
St. Scholastica’s Manila: All levels and offices
La Salle Greenhills: high school
UST: All levels and offices
St. Paul University Manila:
PROVINCES
Cavite: all levels (public and private)
Dinalupihan, Bataan: all levels
Obando, Bulacan: all levels (public and private)
San Mateo, Rizal: elementary to high school (public and private)
Cainta, Rizal: All levels (public and private), according to Mayor Keith Nieto

Meanwhile, there are no classes in Quezon City as it is on a special non-working holiday on Monday to commemorate the birthday of President Manuel Quezon.
