MANILA, Philippines – Dingdong Dantes is maintaining a safe distance
from post-show raves for the runway appearance of his former girlfriend
Karylle at the recently held Bench Universe fashion show.
"Mabuti para sa kanya," Dantes was quoted as saying by entertainment
website Push, when asked to comment on Karylle's participation in the
show held last September 13.
An endorser of the clothing line Bench, the singer-host was seen
walking the ramp wearing stylish undergarments. Karylle's sexy physique
earned praises from various entertainment media outlets.
Dantes, also an endorser of the brand, was likewise among those who
walked on the runway. When asked if he and Karylle saw each other
personally at the event, Dantes merely said: "Nandu’n siya. Hindi, hindi
kami nagkabatian."
The "It's Showtime" host is now reported to be in a relationship with singer Yael Yuzon, while Dantes and Rivera have been officially a couple for years now.
Asked for his comment on Karylle's recent successes -- apart from her talked-about Bench appearance, she is set to guest-star in yet another Singaporean TV series -- Dantes said: "Anyone in the industry, as long as magiging successful, eh masaya ako para sa kanila. Kumbaga kahit paano maliit lang ang industriyang ito."
