MANILA, Philippines – For the second time, actress Cristine Reyes has
reiterated that there is nothing romantic going on between her and
actor Derek Ramsay.
In an interview with entertainment website Pep.ph, Reyes said she
does not get alarmed that people see them together going out because
they are really close friends.
“Hindi naman namin dini-deny na lumalabas kami. We really go out,
hang-out, dinner, merienda, lunch. Minsan nagpasama sa akin ‘yan one
time mag-golf. Minsan naman ako, pinupuntahan niya sa family gathering
ko, like birthday ng sister-in-law ko,” she said.
Despite this, the actress said her relationship with Ramsay cannot be called “dating.”
“Pareho naman kaming aminado na we’re friends eh. We like hanging out
together, but it’s not really a date, because it’s not that romantic
eh. Nag-aasaran kami kapag magkasama kami. We’re friends,” she said.
Reyes said Ramsay also knows that she has no intentions of getting
into another relationship after her breakup with actor Rayver Cruz.
We’re friends lang talaga. Wala kaming sweet moments nun, sapakin ko 'yun eh. Wala talaga,” she insisted.
Meanwhile, Reyes denied that she and Cruz are trying to rekindle their romance.
“I’m really good friends with Ray. Pagkakaalam ko nagdesisyon kami para maghiwalay, hindi para magbalikan ulit. Ano ‘to lokohan? Naglokokohan ba tayo dito?” she said with a good laugh.
Even after the breakup, Reyes said she and Cruz have decided to remain friends.
“Okay naman kami eh ‘di ba? Wala namang third party sa amin. And naghiwalay kami, alam naman namin pareho na para sa career namin. Para mag-focus sa life namin. Kasi bata pa kami para masyadong mag-focus sa relasyon,” she said.
Having said that, Reyes said she does not mind spending the Valentine’s Day without a special someone.
“I am happy na single ako at hindi ko naman hinahanap ang kasiyahan ko sa ibang tao. Kaya masasabi ko na kuntento ako ngayon,” she said.
