MANILA, Philippines – Actor Rayver Cruz admitted he still loves his former girlfriend Cristine Reyes – but only as a friend.
In an interview with entertainment website Push.com.ph, Cruz said his
love for Reyes will never diminish because they have shared a lot of
good times together, stressing that their breakup was a mutual decision.
Hindi naman magbabago ‘yung samahan namin. Magkaibigan pa rin kami. Mahal ko siya bilang magkaibigan,” he said.
Cruz also said he and Reyes still see and talk to each other even after their separation.
“Minsan nagkaka-text kami tapos siyempre nagkikita kami minsan kasi
neighbors na kami eh. Ang lapit na lang ng bahay namin sa [bahay nila],
mga 10 to 15 minutes. Malapit so magkikita-kita kayo doon. Ang liit lang
ng Parañaque,” he said.
Meanwhile, Cruz shared his excitement for their upcoming series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,” where he and Reyes will be working with Gerald Anderson and Dawn Zulueta.
“Sobrang excited. Nag-start na kami mag-taping and happy ako sa mga nangyayari sa set. Ang gaganda ng mga eksena namin nina Gerald. ‘Yon, sobrang excited na kaming ipalabas,” he said.
Cruz said he feels honored act alongside Zulueta, who was chosen to replace actress Maricel Soriano in the series.
Cruz said he felt nervous during his first scene with Zulueta but he eventually learned to relax since all of them in the cast get along really well.
