MANILA, Philippines - Several areas in Metro Manila may be hit by flooding as heavy rains are expected to continue over the capital region until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its Yellow Rainfall Advisory that flooding is possible in low-lying areas in Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela), Pasay City, Paranaque City, Taguig City and Pasig City.
The weather bureau said Tropical Depression "Maring" is enhancing the southwest moonsoon, which is bringing moderate to heavy rains over Metro Manila and provinces in Northern and Central Luzon.
As of 10 a.m, the cyclone was estimated at 270 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
